This update of the new DocuWare client reduces the number of steps for everyday document work. Documents are printed, downloaded, shared, moved, and copied directly in the document tray. Related documents open from the result list. Deleted documents can be checked and recovered in bulk in the Trash Bin. Tasks are answered or handed over on the task details page, where colleagues now appear by their real name. A new header at the top of the window holds your account, help, and feedback.
Nothing has to be migrated or configured. The functions use the file cabinets, permissions, document relations, and workflows your organization already has.
Components: New DocuWare Client, DocuWare Cloud
Document actions in document trays
The document menu in a tray now contains Print, Download, Share, Move to, and Copy to. You perform these actions directly in the tray, either for a single document or for a selection, without opening the document.
Benefits
Fewer steps to print, download, and share documents
Share documents by link, email, or directly in Microsoft Teams
Move or copy documents between trays, one or several at once
Here's how
Right-click a document in a tray, or open its menu with the three dots, and select Print, Download, Share, Move to, or Copy to. For several documents, select them first; the actions are in the toolbar above the tray. Up to three documents can be shared in Microsoft Teams at a time.

Related documents in the result list
The document menu of a result list now contains View related documents. It opens the documents linked to the selected one through a document relation, for example, the delivery notes and invoices of a purchase order, in their own result list.
Benefits
Related documents one click away, without a second search
Works in every result list, including results across several file cabinets, as long as you have the permission for the related documents
Use existing Document Relations in the new DocuWare without reconfiguration by administrators
Here's how
In a result list, open the menu of a document and select View related documents. The related documents open in their own result list. If no relation exists for the document, the menu shows No document relations. Administrators define relations in DocuWare Configurations > Document Relations.

Checking and recovering documents in the Trash Bin
You can now view deleted documents in the Trash Bin before deciding whether to restore or permanently delete one or more documents in a single step. Open a document in the adjustable viewer, or select Open full screen in its menu.
Benefits
Recover several documents at once instead of one at a time
Empty the Trash Bin to free up storage space
Find the right document in the Trash Bin by sorting and filtering
Here's how
Open the Trash Bin in the left sidebar. Select a document to read it in the viewer or to download it. Select several documents and use Restore selected or Permanently delete selected; Restore all and Empty trash above the list act on the whole Trash Bin. Documents deleted from file cabinets you do not own cannot be opened or downloaded.

Task actions on the details page
The header of the task details page now contains Request input and Reassign task. You ask a colleague for information or hand the task over while the task and its document are in front of you. The same two actions are available to controllers on the instance details page in Workflow overview, for the waiting tasks of an instance.
Benefits
Request input or reassign a task without going back to the task list
Same dialogs and rules as in the task list, nothing new to learn
Controllers reassign the waiting tasks of an instance from the instance details page
Here's how
Open a task on its details page and use Request input or Reassign task in the header. In Workflow overview, open an instance and select Reassign tasks in the header of the instance details page; when several people hold tasks, the dialog asks which tasks to reassign. Reassigning from Workflow overview is available only to users who hold the controller permission for the workflow.

Document actions in Tasks follow index profiles
The document actions in a task list, such as printing, downloading, or viewing index entries, now check the permissions for the selected document when you run them, in addition to the file cabinet permissions that decide which entries the menu shows.
Benefits
The same access rules apply whether you open a document from a search or from a task
Administrators set index profiles once in the file cabinet permissions, with no extra configuration for Tasks
Here's how
Nothing changes in daily use. If an index profile excludes a document for you, the action does not run, and the message Permissions denied appears. For several selected tasks, the action runs for none of them if one document is excluded.

The header: account, help, and feedback
A header at the top of the window replaces the three-dot menu. It holds your account menu, the help and support links, and the feedback portal, so these entries are in the same place on every page.
Benefits
Everything about your account in one menu, from Profile & Preferences to logging out
Help, Cloud status, and your license details one click away
Send feedback on the new DocuWare client from any page, while the issue is still in front of you
Here's how
Select your name at the top right to open the account menu with Profile & Preferences, Configurations, Security, the Desktop Apps download and connection, and Log out. The question mark collects help, user support, Cloud status, Academy, product blog, and the product tester program, plus About DocuWare with your license and administrator. The feedback icon opens the feedback portal.
