This update of the DocuWare E-Invoicing Service adds the Read status for received invoices. Companies located in France or French overseas territories can now add SIREN suffixes and SIRETs to their configuration and route invoices to individual sites or units. Both features follow French e-invoicing rules; the new status is available in all countries.
Nothing has to be migrated. The status is active after the update, and the identifier feature appears in every France configuration. Workflows that evaluate or set invoice statuses should be reviewed; see below.
Components: DocuWare E-Invoicing Service, Workflow
New status Read for received invoices
Received invoices now have the status Read. It records that your organization has received an invoice and taken it in charge, before it is accepted or refused. In France, this acknowledgment is a mandatory step of the national e-invoicing framework (status code 204). The status is available in all countries.
Benefits
French customers meet the mandatory acknowledgment step directly in their existing DocuWare workflow, without workarounds
A distinct stage between receipt and approval, so sender and recipient both see where an invoice stands
Nothing to activate: the status is available after the update
Here's how
In the DocuWare Workflow Designer, open the workflow that processes received e-invoices and go to the Web Service activity that uses the Update Invoice Status endpoint of the DocuWare E-Invoicing web service. Set the status value read at the point where your organization takes the invoice in charge, then save and publish the workflow. Review all workflows that evaluate invoice statuses: a workflow that does not account for Read may skip a step or behave unexpectedly.

SIREN suffixes and SIRETs for companies in France
Companies located in France or French overseas territories can now add SIREN suffixes and SIRETs to their E-Invoicing Service configuration. With them, invoices are routed to individual sites or units, as French e-invoicing legislation requires, and each unit has its own tax report settings.
Benefits
Represent each site or cost center with its own identifier in invoicing and e-reporting, in the format French regulations require
Manage all identifiers of a legal entity in one place
Here's how
Open DocuWare E-Invoicing Service > General Configuration for the French legal entity and add the organizational unit in the Additional SIREN Suffixes and SIRETs section: select the type, SIRET or SIREN suffix, enter the identifier and a title, and select Create. The unit is immediately activated for Peppol; its Tax Report Settings are configured on the Sending tab under e-Reporting France. The identifier cannot be changed afterward, and a unit can only be deleted if no invoices have been sent or received with it.
