This article is primarily for DocuWare administrators: Review the technical notes before updating your DocuWare Cloud or manually updating your locally installed DocuWare (on-premises).
Modified system requirements
Compared to DocuWare version 7.13, the system requirements have changed as follows:
Changes for DocuWare Cloud
Database connections using the MySQL driver require MySQL 8.0 or later. MySQL databases below version 8.0 cannot be used with the Local Data Connector anymore.
Changes for on-premises systems
Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime version 10 (x86) is required for DocuWare and will be installed with the on-premises setup. Existing .NET 8 installations on environments are not changed or removed by DocuWare Server Setup or DocuWare Client Setup.
User Synchronization version 2 requires a 64-bit Windows environment. 32-bit editions of Windows 10 are no longer supported.
Direct upgrade to version 7.14 is supported from DocuWare version 7.9 or higher.

DocuWare Request discontinued
As of DocuWare 7.14, the DocuWare Request module is discontinued. The Request configuration page, DocuWare Configurations > Request, is no longer displayed by default. If you require the DocuWare Request functionality, contact DocuWare Support to have DocuWare Request re-enabled.
DocuWare Administration moved to DocuWare Configurations
All configuration elements for a DocuWare Cloud organization are now available in the browser-based DocuWare Configurations. The Desktop App DocuWare Administration is discontinued.
Minor technical changes
Failed forms submissions now show errors in an information box at the top of the form instead of an overlay. Entered values remain visible but read-only. Use the action button to proceed with Submit again, Try again, or Reload.
The file type "html" has been removed from the Security-related files category in the DocuWare Configurations > Security settings. HTML files can now be stored without changing the Restricted file types setting.

For full functionality, sign in to Windows as an administrator and to DocuWare as a system administrator.

DocuWare Administration on server systems: no longer included; uninstalled during the update. Use DocuWare Server Manager and DocuWare Configurations.
DocuWare Administration on client systems: no longer included; uninstalled during the update. Use DocuWare Configurations to manage your organizations instead.
