Train IDP models within DocuWare – with your own documents

Prev Next

You can now train your IDP models for document classification and splitting directly in DocuWare using your own documents. Simply select the training data from your archives, and the documents will be securely transferred and processed. Previously, IDP models could only be trained by manually uploading documents to the IDP platform.

Components: DocuWare Cloud, DocuWare IDP, DocuWare Configurations

Benefits

  • Select documents for training directly from DocuWare file cabinets

  • Perfect adaptation to your workflows

Here’s how

Within DocuWare Configuration, you can start training separators and classifiers directly in the DocuWare IDP area.

One click opens a window with all the information you need to create a new splitter or classifier, and you are guided step by step through the training process. At the same time, you are shown a selection list of file cabinets from which you can select documents for training.

Select at least one file cabinet for splitting.

Select at least two different file cabinets for classification. The system also displays whether there are enough documents in the respective file cabinet for training.

Training for your models can take up to 24 hours. However, multiple training sessions can be run in parallel, meaning that, if necessary, you can create and start a new training session while one is running.

Outlook: Training extraction models is already in progress and will be available soon. It will also soon be possible to select an index field in addition to the selected file cabinet during classification training. This will enable the different values of the index field to be recognized and trained as separate classes.
