Click on the wrench icon to open the settings for DocuWare for Outlook. The following options are available:
Clear memory cache
This option logs the user out of DocuWare for Outlook and resets the personal settings of the user.
DocuWare organisation URL will be deleted from the connection settings. You will need to re-enter the URL and your login the next time you open the app.
There will be no default preselection for the storage locations.
Sort order and visibility settings of the storage locations will be deleted.
The permissions granted by the user and/or the administrator to use the DocuWare for Outlook add-in are not affected.
Send feedback
The rating and message of the user will not be sent to Microsoft and they are not connected to the Microsoft Store. DocuWare uses the feedback only to optimize the app.
Storage locations - Sync storage locations
If this option this activated, the sort order and the visibility settings of the document trays and file cabinets / store dialogs are transferred from your DocuWare Web Client to the DocuWare for Outlook app.
Changes to the storage locations in the Web Client are automatically applied. A refresh of the app is required for the changes to be displayed directly in the Outlook app.
Make sure to save your changes so that they are applied when you re-enter the app next time.
If the sync option is disabled, you may sort document trays and store dialogs manually and show/hide them.
The initial order of the document trays, file cabinets and store dialogs is adopted from the DocuWare Web Client.
Once the visibility or the order of the items has changed, the document trays, file cabinets and store dialogs recently assigned to the user are displayed at the end of the respective list.
Store dialogs can only be moved within the list of the file cabinet they belong to.
If you activate the sync with the web client again, any settings you may have applied to the storage locations will be saved in the background. The changes will be applied again, if you disable the web client synchronization later.
Storage locations for which the user no longer has permission are removed after the refresh of the app.
Make sure to save your changes so that they are applied when you re-enter the app next time.
No sync to the Web Client: Settings that you make in DocuWare for Outlook are not transferred to the Web Client.
Send and store
If you enable send and store in the settings section, each email (and its attachments) will be concurrently stored in a DocuWare document tray when they are sent.
The send and store functionality is disabled by default.
There are two options for storing: automatically or manually.
Manual: If you have activated send and store as described above, you must select the document tray in the DocuWare for Outlook Client when sending the mail. You can also specify whether the email body, the attachments, or both should be stored.
Automatic: First, you have to activate the option Automatically store e-mails in the settings section. Then select the document tray and the storage option Store body and/or attachments (also in settings). After saving the configuration, the emails are automatically stored when sent, without any further intermediate steps.
Note: You can always customize your selections before sending an email. For example, if you have send and store disabled, you can temporarily enable it to store your next email.
Or, if you have selected a specific document tray to store all your invoices automatically, you can change the storage target for your next storage while saving a return order in a different document tray.
