# Displaying Italian e-invoices with a CAdES signature in the viewer

Component: DocuWare Viewer

In Italy, it is a legal requirement to sign XML invoices with a Qualified Electronic Signature according to the PAdES, XAdES or CAdES standard. You can display Italian e-invoices in Fattura PA not only with a PAdES or XAdES signature in the viewer now but also with a CAdES signature.

With a CAdES signature, a kind of cryptographic envelope is created containing the original file, and the file extension is changed to .p7m. This P7M file format is now supported by the viewer for Fattura PA invoices.
