# Platform Services

DocuWare Platform Services is a REST-based interface which provides access to DocuWare systems. It is used within DocuWare for connecting mobile devices with DocuWare Mobile, for example, but can also be used for coWare-nnecting external programs.

Install Platform Services from DocuWare Server Setup.

During installation you need to specify a website on which the Platform Services will be installed. Documentation is also made available automatically on the website .../Platform/Home/XSL

Example: For a website specified during setup: http://petersengineering.com/DocuWare Documentation directory: http://petersengineering.com/DocuWare/Platform/Home/XSL
