# General email

Emails from a Webmail account can be automatically transferred into DocuWare with this module.

Import emails from Exchange or IMAP accounts and safely store relevant messages in a DocuWare file cabinet or document tray.

Integrate emails into your company's business processes.

Two examples:

- Move invoices received by email to a separate folder in your inbox. This folder is watched by DocuWare and all emails from it are automatically stored in a file cabinet. This triggers the approval workflow directly and the discount period is adhered to.
- Colleagues can react quickly to a customer inquiry, even if the employee in charge is away, as they have an overview of all correspondence with the customer in the file cabinet.

A digital storage unit within a document management system where documents are organized and stored for long-term access.

A temporary storage area in DocuWare where documents can be viewed and processed before being stored in a file cabinet.
