You highlight a term or number in any program and press a key combination to display the matching document. #### How to configure Smart Connect Highlight Search To use Highlight Search in any program, only a single configuration is required. Unlike Smart Search or Smart Index, Highlight Search is not tied to a specific application and works in any program once set up. - Go to *DocuWare Configurations > Integrations > Smart Connect* - Set the file cabinet, search dialog, and Index Field. - Assign a key combination. For example, you can set the key combination Ctrl+Alt+F7. - The document will be found if the index field contains the search term (similar to a wildcard search with an asterisk). If you also want to search the document content, select the fulltext field. - For fulltext, date, and numeric fields, you can always use an “equals” search. - For text fields, the operators 'equals', "begins with", and "ends with" are also available. ## Supported versions: DocuWare Cloud + 7.14 + 7.13 + 7.12 + 7.11 + 7.10 A digital storage unit within a document management system where documents are organized and stored for long-term access.
